Museum Street The Vlaemsche Erfgoed

In the historic village of Groede, you will find Het Vlaemsche Erfgoed, a unique open-air museum that offers a glimpse into life in a Zeeland-Flanders farming village during the first half of the 20th century.

The museum is beautifully integrated into the street layout of the 13th-century village and is affectionately known by visitors as “the little street.” As you walk past authentic shops, workshops and historic buildings, you will experience what daily life used to be like in earlier times.

Inside the various buildings, you can explore cultural-historical collections, traditional crafts and local history. Het Vlaemsche Erfgoed also provides space for craftsmanship and living trades, helping to preserve traditional skills and artisan work.

What makes this location even more special is its social role. Het Vlaemsche Erfgoed also serves as a social platform for people with disabilities, where participation, collaboration and community are central.

A charming and inspiring place where history, craftsmanship and social involvement come together.
